MOMs Chat & Care Study 

The MOMs Chat & Care Study is designed to empower birthing people by providing maternal health education, care navigation, and support during pregnancy and after delivery.

THIS STUDY MAY BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Age 18 or older
     
  • Are currently pregnant and less than 17 weeks along in your pregnancy
     
  • Self-identify as Black/African American or Hispanic/Latinx
     
  • Receive prenatal care at a Northwell Health OB practice site

HOW THE STUDY WORKS

Everyone who joins this study will receive:

Routine care from your OB doctor
Routine care from your OB doctor
Northwell Pregnancy & Peds Chats
Northwell Pregnancy & Peds Chats, an interactive digital resource that offers weekly insights and support you need throughout your pregnancy journey and beyond
Virtual 1-to-1 health self-management support and training sessions
Brief support via virtual check-ins with a MOMs care coordinator 6 times after delivery
Fitbit to track your physical activity
A Fitbit to track your physical activity, which is yours to keep after completing the study

You may also receive:

Virtual check-ins with a MOMs care coordinator
12 virtual 1-to-1 health self-management support and training sessions with a MOMs care coordinator during pregnancy
Blood pressure monitor
A blood pressure monitor, which is yours to keep after completing the study

Everyone will be asked to answer questionnaires 3 times by phone and online. You will receive $25 for answering these questionnaires, for a total of $75.
